My dispute with Rousseau <\/em>(Editorial Laetoli, 2023), written by Jos\u00e9 Luis Tasset, Professor of Moral Philosophy at the University of A Coru\u00f1a. The dean of the centre, Manuela del Pilar Santos and the journalist, writer and full member of the Academia Auriense-Mindoniense de San Auriense-Mindoniense Academy of San Rosendo, Ram\u00f3n Loureiro, will speak at the presentation ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>As the lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities and Documentation, Jos\u00e9 Luis Tasset, points out, this book presents, for the first time in Spanish, the correspondence exchanged by David Hume and Jean-Jacques Rousseau during the polemic they maintained in 1766, which led to the definitive rupture of their relationship of friendship and to the confrontation, at the end of the Enlightenment, of two models of theoretical and practical rationality, Hume&#8217;s utilitarianism and Rousseau&#8217;s romanticism.
