No seu texto, o investigador do Grupo de Pol\u00edmeros, adscrito ao Centro de Investigaci\u00f3ns Tecnol\u00f3xicas (CIT) do Campus Industrial de Ferrol, prop\u00f3n un novo modelo estrutural para os materiais polim\u00e9ricos. O traballo ocupa a portada do n\u00famero correspondente ao mes de abril desta prestixiosa revisa cient\u00edfica editada pola Royal Society Chemistry.<\/p>\n<p>Tal e como se recolle no propio artigo, ata o de agora, a organizaci\u00f3n molecular de todos os pol\u00edmeros que non fosen cristais l\u00edquidos pod\u00edanse explicar botando man dos modelos estruturais tradicionais. Uns modelos que clasificaban aos pol\u00edmeros como amorfos, semicristalinos ou paracristalinos. Xunto co seu grupo de investigaci\u00f3n, o profesor da Facultade de Ciencias, Jaime Mart\u00edn, descubriu que a organizaci\u00f3n molecular nos pol\u00edmeros semicondutores empregados nas c\u00e9lulas solares org\u00e1nicas m\u00e1is eficientes non encaixaba ben en ning\u00fan dos modelos tradicionais e que necesitaban da introduci\u00f3n dun novo modelo de caracterizaci\u00f3n estrutural.
