Ferrol, May 7th, 2024. The president of Racing Club Ferrol, Manuel Ansede, will give, this Thursday 9 May, at 19:00 hours, in the Carlos III Hall of the Exponav Foundation, the conference “Proud of Ferrol, a sentiment”. invited by the Jorge Juan Chair promoted by the University of A Coruña in collaboration with the Navy and directed by Sonia Zaragoza, professor at the Polytechnic School of Engineering of Ferrol (EPEF).

From a historical perspective, the president of Racing Club Ferrol, Manuel Ansede, will review the most important milestones of the club throughout its more than 100 years of life, from its foundation in 1919, under the protection of the Ferrol estates, to the arrival of the Elite Group in 2017, launching an ambitious project aimed, in the first instance, at returning the club to professional football. A challenge that was achieved in the 2022/23 season with promotion to the HYPERMOTION LALIGA and which also meant the renewal of the strong links that have always existed between the departmental city and, by extension, with its region and Racing Club Ferrol.

All this, together with the exponential growth of the social mass and the aspiration to turn the sports entity into a social and economic engine for Ferrolterra, guide a project oriented in this attempt towards the consolidation in the top category of national football, professionalising the club at all levels and providing it with all the structure and facilities essential for its development and viability.
