The second edition of the forum “The Future of Fashion Talent” brings together more than 200 participants tomorrow at the Ferrol Industrial Campus.

Ferrol, April 17th 2024. The mayor of Ferrol City Council, José Manuel Rey Varela; the vice-rector of the Ferrol Campus and Social Responsibility, Ana Ares Pernas; the director of the Industrial Campus of the University of A Coruña, Marcos Míguez González; and the general director of the Cinnamon News group and co-founder of the specialised publication Modaes, Christian De Angelis; will inaugurate tomorrow, Thursday 18 April, at 10am: 00 hours, in the Assembly Hall Concepción Arenal of the Ferrol campus, the second edition of the meeting “The Future of Fashion Talent”, a forum for debate on fashion and talent in which more than 200 people will participate, mainly students of the Degree in Industrial Management of Fashion and the Degree in Industrial Design and Product Development as well as professionals from the sector from different parts of Galicia.

The conference programme includes the interventions of Tendam’s Retail Human Resources Director, Ignacio Olmeda; the co-founder and CEO of PdePaola Jewelry, Humbert Sasplugas; the Director of Personnel, Culture and Organisation of Tous, Laura Valldevilaramo; the Executive Director of Roberto Verino, Dora Casal; the Secretary General of the Confederation of Textile Industries of Galicia (Cointega), Alberto Rocha; the head of the department of ecommerce and expansion of Alba Conde, Pablo Conde; from co managing partner in Charm Hunter, Betty Lepina; the co-founder and CEO of Orquest, Alberto del Barrio; and the founder and CEO of the inventory management system with Artificial Intelligence (AI) AnalyticAlways, Amancio Junior. Also speaking will be the coordinator of the Degree in Industrial Management of Fashion, a degree that is taught in the Faculty of Humanities and Documentation of the Ferrol campus, Manuel Escourido; and the professor of the University of A Coruña, Ariadna Monje.

The event, which can be followed live on the YouTube channel of the Ferrol Industrial Campus, will begin with a conference on fashion, territory and quality employment, followed by a round table discussion on how to attract new generations. After a short break, there will be a report focused on employer branding and, to close the day, another round table on technology and point of sale. The regional secretary of the Galician Government Delegation in Ferrol, Patricia Busto Míguez, and the dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Documentation, Manuela del Pilar Santos Pita, are expected to attend the closing ceremony.

The forum “The Future of Fashion Talent” is organised by the leading publication in economic information on the fashion business, Modaes, in collaboration with the Industrial Campus of the University of A Coruña and sponsored by the Confederation of Textile Industries of Galicia (Cointega) and also by the City Council of Ferrol.
